Germany, Der Stahlhelm. A 1923 Commemorative Service Badge, by Der Stahlhof Hold indicating Italian construction(Der Stahlhelm Diensteintrittsabzeichen 1923). Instituted 13 November 1933 by Franz Seldte. (1933 1939 issue). Constructed of silvered tombak with enamels, the obverse consisting of a black enameled medallion, overlaid by a raised Stahlhelm insignia, situated above a silvered date of 1923 topped by oak leaves, the reverse with a crimped hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch emanating from a circular plate, engraved with a unit
