Its glossy serrated dark green leaves have no fall color. The mophead clusters bloom blue with white edges in acidic soils and pink with white edges in alkaline soil, with the first bloom in earl summer on old wood then the overwintered buds will bloom again in late summer into fall on new wood. If the buds do not survive the winter,
